According to a report by Korean media outlet iMBC via Naver, Jeon Somi made a surprise guest appearance on Diplo’s stage at Waterbomb Seoul 2026 on July 24 at the KINTEX Outdoor Global Stage in Goyang. She performed the previously unreleased song “Ba Da Bing,” a dark, heavy dance track co-created with streamer-DJ-producer Kaysan and Grammy-winning producer Diplo. The chorus repeats the catchy “Ba Da Bing” hook, and her sharp performance reportedly pushed the summer night energy higher amid the festival’s signature water-soaked atmosphere.
Somi, a former I.O.I member now under The Black Label, is riding a strong year. The group reunited this spring for their 10th-anniversary mini album I.O.I: LOOP, released in May. Somi co-wrote the title track “갑자기” (Suddenly), a synth-pop number that has held solid chart positions. She has become a Waterbomb regular, known for high-energy sets that turn the soaked crowds into full participants. Diplo’s booking marked a notable global EDM crossover for the festival, which also featured acts like Taemin, Karina, Jay Park, and Sunmi across its three days.
International fans quickly shared 4K fancams and stage photos, calling the collab a perfect match of Somi’s sharp delivery and Diplo’s production. Posts highlighted the addictive chorus and her commanding stage presence, with many asking for an official release.
Brazilian and other global fan accounts amplified the clips, treating the surprise drop as the festival’s standout moment.
