According to a report by Korean media outlet MHN via Naver, singer Kang Daniel posted a short video on July 20 with the caption “이빨 만개” (full set of teeth). In the clip he appears in his army uniform and cap, holding his pet cat and flashing a wide, bright smile that immediately drew comments about how only his teeth seemed visible. He gently strokes the cat’s chin as the animal leans into him, looking completely at ease. Netizens quickly noted the leave vibe and the pure happiness in his expression.

Kang enlisted as an active-duty Army soldier on February 9, 2026, and has been serving as a training instructor after completing basic training and later being selected as a squad leader. His discharge is set for August 8, 2027. While former Wanna One members recently reunited for the reality series Wanna One Go: Back to Base and are scheduled to perform at KCON LA this August, Kang has been unable to join because of his service. The former Produce 101 Season 2 center and successful soloist has kept a relatively low public profile since enlistment, making this casual home update especially welcome.

International fans responded with pure affection. Many shared screenshots and short clips of the video, writing variations of “he looks so happy with his cat,” “those teeth are blinding,” and “military Daniel still serves face.” Others simply posted heart emojis and comments about missing him, treating the brief clip as a reassuring check-in that he’s healthy and still very much himself.
