According to a report by Korean media outlet Dispatch via Naver and confirmed in Samsung Medical Center’s July 22 press release, ENHYPEN member Sunoo donated KRW 50 million on June 24 his birthday to support pediatric and adolescent patients at the hospital. The contribution brings his cumulative donations to the center since 2024 to KRW 200 million.
Sunoo said he wanted the day to carry meaning beyond celebration. “I hope many children and adolescents receiving treatment will be able to look forward to a brighter future,” he shared. “I will continue to share the love and support I have received with many more people in the years ahead"
For global fans, this fits a longer pattern. Sunoo has repeatedly named charitable giving as a personal goal dating back to his childhood, when financial struggles left a lasting impression. ENHYPEN itself has joined broader efforts, including a recent WHO-linked blood donation campaign. The group is also preparing its mini album THE SIN : BLISS for release on August 21, the next chapter in their ongoing series.
International ENGENEs responded with quiet pride rather than spectacle. Across fan accounts, the dominant note has been appreciation for consistency many simply called the gesture characteristic of the member they already knew as thoughtful. The hospital’s decision to publicize the gift weeks later only amplified that sense of understated care.
