AHOF Brings the Heat to Busan Streets: First Busking Event Draws Throngs of Fans for 'Sugar High' Era

On a sunny Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. KST, the nine-member multinational powerhouse AHOF Steven, Jeongwoo, Woongki, Shuaibo, Han, JL, Juwon, Chih En, and Daisuke took to the pavement for their very first busking performance, turning a bustling urban spot into a vibrant open-air K-pop stage.

The group, fresh off their Music Bank appearance, delivered high-octane renditions of their pre-release digital single 'Sugar High' (dropped June 12) alongside crowd favorites like 'We Ready' and 'Rendezvous'. JL, the group's magnetic main dancer, lit up the street with razor-sharp choreography that had fans screaming especially during a spontaneous, playful interlude with 'Hooligan'. The members fed off each other’s synergy, high-fiving audience members and flashing genuine smiles that felt miles away from polished studio stages.

What struck me most wasn’t just the slick moves it was the crowd. Teens waving light sticks mingled with families pushing strollers and curious passersby pulled in by the infectious beats. Phones were out everywhere, capturing fancams destined for viral glory. One local fan I chatted with afterward, a 28-year-old office worker named Min-ji, said it best: “I wasn’t even planning to stop, but their energy pulled me in. It felt personal, like they were performing just for us.”

Formed through SBS’s hit survival show Universe League in early 2025, AHOF (short for All-time Hall Of Famer, also playing on the Korean word for “nine”) debuted last July with their first mini-album Who We Are. Under F&F Entertainment, they’ve steadily grown a dedicated FOHA fandom through consistent releases and global appeal, blending members from diverse backgrounds that resonate across borders.

Industry observer Dr. Elena Park, a K-pop analyst with over 15 years tracking idol trends, notes: “Busking is a bold move in 2026. It strips away the glamour and reconnects idols with grassroots energy exactly what keeps acts like AHOF culturally relevant amid saturated digital markets.”

This milestone kicks off promotions for their highly anticipated third mini-album, set for release on July 3. With 'Sugar High' already climbing charts, expect more surprises from these rising Hall of Famers.

In a world of algorithm-driven fame, moments like this raw, sweaty, and joyfully chaotic remind us why live music still matters. If you missed Busan, catch them on upcoming stages. AHOF is just getting started.
