Hey, K-pop fans get ready for something exciting. Starship Entertainment, the powerhouse behind MONSTA X, IVE, CRAVITY, and recent standout IDID, is launching its newest boy group, AEN, on August 5, 2026. Their debut EP, A New Era of Now, drops at 6 p.m. KST, and the early buzz feels electric.
AEN stands for "A New Era of Now" and brings together a dynamic seven-member lineup with real multinational flavor: Korean members Jiyong (born 2004), Bomin (2004), Kyuhyun (2005), and Junseo, joined by Japanese talents Haru (2006), Haruto, and Kaira (2008). Six of them built a strong connection with fans through Starship’s 2025 survival show Debut's Plan the same program that introduced IDID while Haruto adds that exciting new energy as the latest addition.

What sets AEN apart is the strategic collaboration with Japanese entertainment giant Amuse. This partnership signals a serious push into the J-pop and K-pop crossover scene, capitalizing on Starship’s proven track record of developing acts with broad international appeal. Having followed the label’s journey for years, I’ve seen how these carefully crafted debuts often create instant fan investment, especially when trainees bond publicly on survival shows.
The rollout has been thoughtfully paced and fan-first. Official social channels went live on June 1, followed by a packed Tokyo showcase on June 27 that drew around 3,000 enthusiastic supporters. Recent teasers, including a sleek “COMING SOON” visual and a mysterious YouTube clip, have everyone hitting pre-save buttons and speculating wildly online.

As a longtime observer of the industry, I’m particularly impressed by the youthful yet polished vibe AEN brings. With Starship’s rigorous training system and this cultural blend, they’re positioned to make waves not just in Korea and Japan but across Southeast Asia too. Early fan reactions already show strong global interest.
